The figure shows the additive-manufactured metal lattice structure.

The Mohan Lab is committed to developing novel metals and advanced metamaterials using artificial intelligence (AI) tools and methodologies. Our research focuses on characterising and analysing additively manufactured and hybrid welded materials, particularly dynamic mechanical analysis and corrosion studies, especially in superalloys and high-entropy alloys. Our goal is to equip researchers with the skills and knowledge to conduct impactful research in materials science while fostering their professional growth and career development.

We are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive lab environment where every team member is respected and cared for.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Postdoc)

If you would like to work in our lab as a postdoc, please email Dr. Mohan a single PDF with your CV, the names and emails of three references, and short answers to the following questions.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

We are open to students who want to explore dynamic mechanical analysis and metallurgical characterisation of additive manufacturing superalloys/high-entropy alloys. If interested, send your CV and supporting statement to Dr. Mohan.

Postgraduates (PG)

If you are enrolled as a postgraduate student in the Faculty of Technology, University of Sunderland. Send your CV and supporting statement to Dr. Mohan.
